XX Annual 2024 Chicago Pol-AM Open Championship will be held on September 13, 2024, at Blackstone Golf Club in Marengo IL. Starting first tee time 8:00 am. The tournament entry fee is $90.00. Following the tournament PAGC will be hosting banquet to celebrate the 20-year Club anniversary at Allegra Banquets Hall, 5035 N River Rd, Schiller Park IL. Raffle with prices, live music provided by Fox Band, dinner and premium open bar. All awards for the tournament winners will be presented, at the Anniversary Banquet. Chicago Clubs PAGC & Podhale GC will be hosting this year Polish Ryder Cup, and we will be entreating golfers for the America/ Canada Team. The Polish Rider Cup winning team will be presented with the Cup at the event. The Anniversary Banquet will start at 7:00 pm. The registration is closed
The Polish American Golf Club of Chicago (PAGC) is celebrating it’s 20th anniversary, marking two decades of bringing together the Polish – American community through the love of the game of golf. Established in 2004 , the Club was founded by a group of golf enthusiasts who wanted to create a space where they could connect with others who shared their cultural heritage and passion for the sport.
Over the years, the PAGC has grown from a small, local club to a well-respected organization within the Polish -American community. It has hosted numerous tournaments,social events and charity fundraisers, all while promoting the values of sportsmanship and camaraderie. The Club has also been instrumental in fostering relationships between different generations of Polish – Americans, ensuring that cultural traditions are passed down and celebrated.
Throughout its 20-year history, the PAGC has not only provided a platform for golfers of all skill levels to enjoy the game but has also played a vital role in strengthening the Polish Community in the region. As the club looks to the future, it remains committed to its mission of promoting Polish culture and the sport of golf, continuing to build on the strong foundation laid over the past two decades.
The first elected president of PAGC in 2004 was Stanley Jedrzejec , and later the mission of running the Club was continued by ; Zbigniew Kazimierczak, Jacek Kusznerko, John Wojciechowski , Marek Placek, Artur Rogowski , Adam Kieta and present Mariusz Kwiatkowski. The first Pol-Am Open tournament took place in June of 2004 at Doral Golf Club in Itasca Il , it was a 2-day tournament, and the first champion was Mark Bidus with the score -2 after 36 holes. The defending champion from 2023 is Greg Zawadzki.
